Bazen çok şey öğrenmek insanın aklını karıştırsa da bazen de sakin bir zihinle tüm bilgileri harmanlayıp yeni bir şeyler keşfetme şansı oluyor insanın ❤️ • Geçen yıl @yogatimestudio derslerime başlarken @denizbagan ‘ın hocalık eğitiminde asistanı olduğum için öğrencilerin eğitimde öğretilen ders formatına aşina olması için izlemem gereken bir yol vardı: temel düzeyde akış dersleri verecektim. Bir yandan da malum Iyengar Yoga öğrencisi olarak artık neredeyse hiç akış pratiğim yoktu. İtiraf ediyorum önce çok zorlandım. Hatta içimden kaç kere “Denizle konuşayım” diye homurdandım bilmiyorum. (Şimdi iyi ki diyorum Deniz 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼) • Sonra bir de Yoga Terapi hocalık eğitimine başladım ve tüm sistemim karıştı gibi hissettim. Zaten hayatımın geri kalanı da karman çormandı, iyice yorulmuştum. • Sonra Hindistan’da yine gönlümün kaldığı, gönlümün aktığı Iyengar Yoga worksop’ına gittim. • Tesadüf değil de planlıymış gibi öyle değişik bir içeriğe sahipti ki... bugüne kadar öğrendiğim herşeyi harmanlayıp üzerine bir de engin bilgilerini, deneyimlerini eklemişler ve aklıma “tamam karışma bi sakin ol” demişler gibi hissettim. • Salı günleri Yogatime’ın bir nevi “joker” hocası olacağım, hocalığımın olmadığı Salılar da akıllı bir öğrenci olacağım 🤗 2 hafta Iyengar hocamız @cedoo olmadığı için hizada hatha yoga dersi verme şerefine eriştim, bugün de canım @denizbagan ‘ın Yoga 1 dersi bana emanetti. • Bugünkü pratiğim sırasında ders akışını hazırlarken: yoga terapi yaklaşımını esas alarak ısınmaları ve hastalıklara/sakatlıklara yönelik yönlendirmeleri, Hatha Yoga’nın ve tabii Iyengar’ın temel hiza kurallarıyla ve bedenin her bir parçasındaki ufacık yönlendirmelerle pozları hissetmeyi/hissettirmeyi birleştirerek güzel bir akış dersi oluşturabileceğimi keşfettim. • Daha çok kendimi eleştirmeye meraklı bir insanımdır ancak bugün “oh be!” dedim. Aklı başında ve ayakları yere basan bir ders verdim! • Farklı yollarda ilerleyen 3 değerli hocama (@denizbagan , @basakdeepayuksel , @yoga_sine ) nasıl teşekkür etsem az. Özünde tüm sistemlerden tekrar tekrar yoganın “bir” olduğunu öğrendim/öğreniyorum. Namaste 🙏🏼
I’m back to doing “Yoga with the Omies”🙏🏼 . Extended side angle is one of my favourite poses. I love the stretch up the entire side body. The bent knee swaying outwards and arched backs are the most common mistakes I see in this pose. Once again... core core core. A lot of yoga poses are active poses. CHALLENGE YOURSELF, KEEP EXPLORING & GROWING Often we can do the same things, change them up a little and they become a completely different experience. I love SUP Yoga! It let's me explore the easiest poses in a completely new way. In order to stay on the board, I have to be fully present, in my body and go with the flow of the waves. Even though the poses normally are basic for me, they challenge me on the SUP & each time I learn something new about them. Yoga on the SUP also changes my yoga practice on the mat. Take this as a metaphor & apply it to something in your life. Maybe something you have a routine in & feel totally safe in. Make yourself uncomfortable in order to grow 🌈🙌😃

Here we have Becky and Sarah getting low and stretching it way out in #utthitaparsvakonasana AKA #extendedsideanglepose during our Saturday 9:30am Power Flow Class. Becky completed her 1st Power Flow Transition this morning flowing all the way from Compass Pose to Flying Lizard  AKA #ekapadakoundinyasana2 while suspended the entire time in an arm balance (Start sitting in compass, to Elephant arm balance, to Eight Angle arm balance, and then all the way back with 1 leg through the arms to nail Flying Lizard) Sarah has quickly become a Flying Lizard Guru after successfully "getting it" for the 1st time a few days ago in our Wed 6:30pm Power Flow Fundamentals class which is a lot like an ongoing weekly workshop where we learn and practice some powerful transitional flows and advanced postures.  Way to go Becky and Sarah!!! Für alle Yogis und Yoginis, die mal Lust auf etwas Neues haben, hier ein dynamischer Freestyle Yoga Flow. Und so geht's: 1. Starte im herabschauenden Hund (Adho Mukha Svanasana) und bereite dich auf einen Durchsprung vor. 2. Variiere deinen Durchsprung, indem du mit einem Fuß dort landest, wo deine Hand war. Das andere Bein ist ausgestreckt. 3. Zentriere dein Gewicht über deinen Handgelenken und hebe deine Beine vom Körper, damit du in der perfekten Ausgangslage für die seitliche Krähe (Parsva Bakasana). 4. Setze das ausgestreckte Bein nach hinten, um in die seitliche Winkelhaltung zu kommen (Utthita Parsvakonasana). 5. Ziehe zum Abschluss auch das andere Bein nach hinten, um wieder in den herabschauenden Hund zu gehen. Just thinking about hitting plateaus and how they always seem to get a bad rep. I’m not so sure. Utthita Parsvakonasana, or extended side angle pose, is one of my favourite poses as it involves so many muscles to work. You need to engage the outer edge of the back foot as well as push through all corners of the front foot. You need to rotate the chest to the sky, push firmly through the hand on the ground and look at the fingers of the hand above the ear. Make sure that the knee of the bent leg sits above the heel to avoid knee injuries. No wonder that this asana helps with the siatica and low backache as well as it improves the digestion. It helps to stretch the sides of the torso and is a great energy booster. Utthita Parsvakonasana, this asana & the Paravakonasana sequence helps to tone and strengthen legs, free- up restrictions in the hips, and relieve stiffness in the lower back. It also helps relieve sciatic & arthritic pain. A great asana to incorporate into practice. . . . . Demonstrated by one of our students in class.
